Voice Celebrations

When was the last time you really opened your voice in joy and sang from your heart to the open sky and the stars? It's almost like having limbs and not using them. Many people have the idea that they can't sing--an idea usually implanted at the most sensitive time of our lives--our childhood. The result is easy to see, an unconscious resistance to one of our most natural resources--making music ourselves.
And what more beautiful way to make music than to sing our own song!? We like to remind people that God isn't listening to see if people are singing in tune. He's listening to see where we sing from. When we sing from our hearts we sing without judgment. Consequently we commune with the divine which creates such a profound sense of well-being and joy. We're not interested in making you a technically great singer. That is not our aim.
This group is for people who have such a longing inside their hearts that they just want to sing their own "YES!" to life, a longing to sing "THANK YOU!" to life, a longing to open the door to their own inner being, to their own inner peace. This can be done easily by using the voice to chant ancient and sacred mantras, Native American songs and dances, and African chants. By feeling yourself uplifted on the wings of harmony and becoming aware of your voice melting with others, you begin to enter into a world of undiluted bliss. It doesn't take much, just a willingness to let go into love, a willingness to drop the mind and dive into an ocean of sound. You can experience the joy of being one with others and with everything. You can feel it--because you are it!
